Grapeland is a Consortium established by 3 Spanish wineries, from different D.O. (appelation of origin) , they are:

Before starting as Grapeland, together with a group of wineries we established Wines & Spirits GR in 2005, the main connexion is that all cellars belonging to the group are small/medium sized family owned cellars, which one by one would be difficult to organize for exports, but in group we can go to exhibitions, assist the markets to help importers to introduce the products (organizing seminars, showrooms, etc...), and as a big advantage to the importer is to have a big range of Spanish wines from different D.O. with only one contact. So the importer can put the orders mix at his convenience, and we would take care of coordination between cellars and the order consolidation in the more convenient place, can be the cellar with the bigger order or in the harbor of their convenience. this formula is being a big success in USA where we have importers in Florida, California and Nevada, and New York as well, same way we work in Belgium, China or India for example.
Then, after 3 years of experience in Export market, we decide to establish a consortium called Grapeland, based in Barcelona and managed by Gabriel Ruiz, from one side to have a better and more solid base as partners and on the other hand to collaborate more closely and with the support of ICEX (Spanish Institute for Export Commerce).
